FINALLY!!! Got the time to make a new journal entry 'bout my trip through Scandinavia last summer.
I hope i'm gonna finish the whole travelog some day
Hope you enjoy!!!
NORWEGIAN FERRIES
This time there will be lots of landscape pics and some of them are linked to my "scraps" section so you can watch a larger version.
Norway land of the famous fjord, but also of the no less famous ferry boat trips. Yeah, there are hardly any bridges in fjord Norway, so it's impossible not to get on a ferry boat when you want to travel from one corner to the other. Why is it so? Because of the huge depth between the fjords which makes it impossible or too expensive to build bridges.
In the photo above you see my travel companions: my sis, our friend Pascale and our most beloved and loyal Nissan Terrano II. In the bg you get a glimpse of the beautiful Sognefjord. This photo was taken on our first ferry boat trip in Norway, but a lot of other trips would even follow.

As i have already treated our visit to Urnes stave-church (see severeene.deviantart.com/journ…), i will move on further…
THE NORWEGIAN HIGHLAND
THE NORWEGIAN HIGHLAND

This was the toughest part for our poor, poor jeep. But we saw landscapes we'd never forget (uh – how pathetic ), s with small bells around their necks and (very thin) cows walking around on the main, fog-covered roads leading up to the highlands. They were so peaceful and took their time to leave the road.
And then something awful (but yet funny ) happened. We three had to pass a tunnel and there was young (good-looking ) guy waiting inside. But somehow Pascale misunderstood his weaving gesture and just drove past him and even sped up – what a goose!!! The poor guy had to yell through the tunnel and run after us to keep us from driving on! But at least we could cast a closer look at him So it was the trouble worth nevertheless!
SAVE POOR RUDOLPH!

As we stopped to go for walk and take photos of the many small waterfalls and "icebergs", we refreshed ourselves at a Laponian tourist station. But we soon got troubled by the fact that they sold reindeer skins and held a real, living reindeer in a tiny paddock next to the shop. How macabre! Poor Rudolph…
NORWEGIAN WATERFALLS
Well-known Vørinfossen. But look out, there's no balustrades to keep you away from the abyss – only small signboards indicating "crossing at one's own risk". Very nice! They trust in the good common sense. Fortunately Norway's Vørinfossen is not the Eiffel Tower or the Golden Gate Bridge.
Låtefossen. Yet another more touristic, huge twin-waterfall with a lovely bridge built at its foot (and a less lovely souvenir-store built on the left side).
River rapids not far from where we built up our igloo-tent and performed some songs on the guitar. Fortunately there were no other people and i guess we chased away all the wild animals with our barking.
So that's all for this time. I hope you enjoyed it at least a bit. More to come soon!
At least I hope so!
